I COULDN'T DECIDE WHAT COLOR TO PAINT THE WALLS

Friday night Kristin and I did something mildly crazy. I'm not sure if we're completely insane or just giant color nerds but either way, here it is! It all started when I asked her opinion on what color to paint the wall and started pinning up paint swatches on the wall. Sitting back we both realized covering the wall in swatches would be a bazillion times more exciting. 7 hours and 600+ paint chips (stolen from home depot...sorry HD :)) later we finished!

before
tape linez
reds + oranges
mappin' it out
rainbow city
sleepy rest time
kristin on the ladder!
all finished

uber special thanks to the amazingly amazing Kristin Nohe!

  2. This looks so so cool. I was wondering what adhesive you used. Regular ol' Scotch tape, or something more sturdy?

  27. I really want to do this in my room, it looks great, but did you used tape or glue? I want to be able to remove them or preorder them without having to paint the wall afterwards because of paint damages.

  28. This is so cool! I remember back in college, one of our hallways had something like this. However, they used framed artworks instead of paint chips to make the whole collage. Ever since that day, I've always dreamt of creating one, but I never seemed to find the time for it. And seeing yours, makes me revive this dream and push through with it. By the way, it looks dandy! You did impressive work!
